This vibrant and boldly fresh conglomerate of artistically talented young people brings hard work and an outright gift to take over a stage. This Houston based group has performed locally at several events ranging from halftime for the Houston Rockets to the “Stars Over Texas” stage at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo. They've also collaborated with local venue Grooves of Houston's "R&B Concert Series” to open for R&B Stars Jon B. and Montell Jordan. In addition the group has seen its share of local venues from The House of Blues, Warehouse Live, Last Concert Café and Alley Kat Bar just to name a few.
Also wearing the hat of entrepreneurs the band recently accepted the challenge of putting on their own concert where they would perform strictly their own original music. This was accompanied by months of planning, budgeting, investing , advertising and promotion and resulted in performing at Grooves of Houston for over 300 dedicated fans.
While reigning as a Houston fan favorite they’ve also taken the party on the road gracing stages in Dallas, Austin (SXSW), New Orleans, Atlanta and even out to sea while partnering with Dream Time Travel and Carnival Cruise Lines.
Like George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Mint Condition and Frankie Beverly & Maze all rolled up in one, they will make you beg for an encore each and every show, validating their coined slogan, "THE C.I.T.Y., We Party". They are a breath of fresh air for live music, delivering funk in increasing levels.
 | Affectionately known as “  the singing teacher,” Shawn Sounds is a powerhouse singer- songwriter from Houston, Texas.
